My Story

From the
peloton to
the boardroom

I'm Luis-Joe — a 23-year-old from Munich who spent his formative years racing at the very top of professional cycling. I became Junior World Champion on the track, signed with UCI WorldTeam Bora–hansgrohe straight out of juniors, and raced at the highest level of the sport until I chose to step away and build something new.

I'm now in sales at jetzt-performance — a Munich company bringing medicine-grade health standards to founders and high-performing business professionals. The environment is built around performance. So am I.

Alongside that, I'm studying Business Psychology part-time — building the academic language for what elite sport already taught me intuitively: what it actually takes for humans to perform at their best, consistently, under real pressure.

Under Pressure

Racing at World Championship level means delivering when everything is on the line. I learned to stay composed, precise, and decisive exactly when it matters most — and that ability doesn't disappear when the race ends.

Consistency

Years of structured training taught me that results come from systems, not motivation. I know how to build a process, stick to it when it's hard, and trust that the work compounds — in sport, in sales, and in studying.

Performance

My Business Psychology studies give structure to what I lived: how people are motivated, how teams function under load, and how to sustain high performance without burning out. Theory meeting lived experience.

2016–2020

I started racing at 13 — four years building the foundation on track and road across Bavaria.

2020–2021

Team Auto Eder — Bora–hansgrohe Development

European Silver on the track. Junior World Champion. 10th at UCI Road World Championships. German Junior Bundesliga champion. The years that defined me.

2022–2024

Bora–hansgrohe — UCI WorldTeam

I turned professional at the top tier of world cycling without a transition year. UCI points at Clásica de Almería. TTT podium at Tour de l'Avenir.

2025

Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Development Team

My final season in professional racing — closing one chapter before opening the next.
